Their cocktails were on point. Especially the one with vinegar in it. Never expected those flavors. The lobster three way was my favorite. All three preparations were different and the flavors mindblowing. This place is a bit over priced and with food and drinks for 2 people expect a 150200 check. ”

“ Dined here on a Thursday evening recently, and was surprised to find the restuant mostly empty except for a few other tables when arriving for our 6pm reservation. After selecting our cocktails opting against the wine pairing, the meal service began promptly. We especially enjoyed the maitake mushroom and lobster dishes. We found the pasta courses to just be average, save for the generous portion of black truffle topping the agnolotti. The chef was present in the dining room for most of our meal, talking extensively with the table next to us and also treating us to a scoop of caviar on our opening course. We found the cocktails and wine offerings to be good, and overall the food menu pricing provided for good value. Without feeling overly rushed, we were finished with our meal in under 90 minutes. ”

“ This is one of the best tasting meals that youll find in the city for 100. Its 5 courses and I was a little worried that I was going to be hungry at the end of it, but it was plenty of food. There were some long gaps between dishes, but I personally prefer that when youre paying for a nice meal and are drinking and have good company. Its also hard to tell because I think other tables were served quicker than us, and maybe they were just making judgement calls based on each table. Anyway, I do recommend Red Paper Clip and will likely come back when I have visitors in town and want to treat them to a tasting menu. ”

“ Great restaurant, would recommend. Awesome price to quality ratio. Went with my wife on a Saturday night for dinner. We sat at the bar and had the tasting menu plus some cocktails. Food was delicious, particularly the lobster fried rice within the lobster three ways, the oysters and the dessert the ice cream was superior. Great combination of flavors and textures. You can really see that, even though is modern American food, the identity of the chef is impregned into the dishes. We also tried the hamburger and the chicken sandwich as we stayed several hours talking with Marcos. Both dishes were really good particularly the hamburger. Cocktails are a strong element of this restaurant, there is a lot of thought and efforts put into them. Nothing to envy to some of the best bars in NYC. I would say this place has a great value preposition which perhaps is not being exploited given the quality of the cocktails, the great price to quality ratio of the food and the nature of the dishes, its a great spot for a superior night out without going through the hassle of fine dining. ”
